Bloomsbury Children’s Books is partnering with motherhood app Peanut to reach wider consumer audiences and target parents looking for resources.
Through the partnership, the publisher will promote two of its leading book brands, the Big Bright Feelings series by Tom Percival (Bloomsbury Children’s Books) and the Let’s Talk series by Molly Potter (Bloomsbury Education), which aims to help readers start meaningful conversations with their children.
Launched in 2017, Peanut was created with the aim of reducing feelings of isolation throughout each life stage, as well as empowering women to connect with other women from all over the world.
Online features and articles will be going out to Peanut’s community of more than three million monthly members throughout 2023, including back-to-school advice in the autumn. The partnership aims to reach audiences who are looking to talk with children about wellbeing topics such as mental health, feelings and relationships.
Evelyn Opoku-Agyeman, children’s marketing manager, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Peanut on this exciting partnership, supporting the members of their thriving community on their journey through motherhood. Through our Big Bright Feelings and Let’s Talk series, we hope to empower mothers with useful tools to navigate big conversations and support their children to manage their feelings and build empathy.”
Michelle Kennedy, founder and c.e.o. of Peanut, commented: “Every day women turn to Peanut to learn, ask questions and share experiences. A topic that continually trends on Peanut is books and literature.
"Our community is always looking for recommendations and we often see women creating their own book clubs on the app to exchange thoughts and recommendations. We’re excited to work with Bloomsbury Children’s Books to help raise awareness about the incredible work they’re doing in the wellness space.”
The partnership, which launched in time for World Book Day 2023 to celebrate the publication of Tom Percival’s £1 Big Bright Feelings book Billy’s Bravery (Bloomsbury Children’s Books), has already published several online articles. These include "The Top Books to Teach Your Kid How to Manage Emotions" and "25 Parenting Books for Raising Confident, Caring Kids".
