Bloomsbury has revealed its Harry Potter publishing for 2020, with plans for the official Natural History Museum exhibition "Fantastic Beasts: The Wonder of Nature" companion book, illustrated books and limited editions.
Bloomsbury will be the official publisher of the Natural History Museum’s "Fantastic Beasts: The Wonder of Nature" exhibition companion book, to be published in June 2020. "Readers will be able to pore over breathtaking photography and beautiful artwork as they explore the parallels between wild animals, creatures from myth and legend and fantastic beasts," said the publisher.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone MinaLima Edition, (pictured) to be published in October 2020, will feature the studio’s signature graphic styling, illustrations and eight interactive features to explore. MinaLima is an award-winning design house, and the creators of the graphic style for both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast movies. Scholastic will publish in the US.
The success of Bloomsbury’s illustrated Harry Potter strand continues with the publication of Quidditch Through the Ages Illustrated Edition in October 2020. Bloomsbury said: "An essential Quidditch Through... companion to the Harry Potter series, this spectacular new full-colour edition includes everything you ever wanted to know about Harry’s favourite sport–be it information on key teams, the evolution of the broomstick, or the many fouls played in the game! A paperback of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated Edition (November 2020) with art by Jim Kay will be published in November, with Levi Pinfold’s House editions set to continue with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire published last month and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix set for June 2020. The full series will be completed by June 2021.
