Bluebird has signed another five books in the bestselling Pinch of Nom series, with two new cookbooks and three food planners.
Publisher Carole Tonkinson acquired world rights from agent Clare Hulton. The books, by authors Kay Featherstone and Kate Allinson, will be published from spring 2022 into autumn 2025.
As with all the pair's books, the Pinch of Nom community will remain at the heart of the publishing process, Bluebird said. It explained: “The authors are always asking for feedback and listening to their supporters to find ways to best meet their needs; whether that is with super quick and simple recipes, easy to follow planners to help them meet their personal goals, or slimming dishes that will still please the whole family. These new books will provide all of that and more, including their famously popular fakeaways, irresistible sweet treats and nourishing vegetarian dishes.”
Total sales have surpassed three million copies across five titles since the series was launched two years ago, according to the publisher. The first title became the fastest-selling non-fiction title of the Nielsen BookScan era on its release in 2019.
The authors said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be writing more books and continuing our work with Carole and the team at Bluebird. They are always a dream to work with and we cannot thank them, and our community, enough for their unwavering support over the past two years.”
Tonkinson added: “Working with Kay and Kate and the Pinch of Nom team is pure joy. They create brilliant, satisfying recipes that hit the spot every time. Crucially, they listen to their community and we listen to Kay and Kate in order to create books that readers need, want and love. They are the dream team and we love collaborating with Kay, Kate and their agent Clare Hulton and are thrilled to be extending our partnership.”
