Zoe Bohm has been appointed executive publisher of the Piatkus Constable Robinson (PCR) editorial division at Little, Brown Book Group.
Bohm’s new position is a promotion from her role as PCR non-fiction publisher and becomes effective on 1st August, although she is currently on parental leave. She replaces Tim Whiting who has left to lead a new adult trade division at Bonnier Books UK.
Little, Brown said that Bohm has overseen significant growth, particularly on the Piatkus list, which had enjoyed “a string of high-profile lifestyle bestsellers”, many of them commissioned and published by Bohm herself.
Standout books include “market-leading parenting titles” by Sarah Ockwell-Smith, Siobhan Miller’s Hypnobirthing, Gemma Bray’s top 10 bestseller, The Organised Mum Method, and Mindfulness by Mark Williams and Danny Penman, which has sold 1.5 million copies according to the publisher. Bohm also acquired Gabby Logan’s memoir, The First Half, and the "Bridgerton" companion, Inside Bridgerton, both of which will be published this autumn.
The PCR leadership team, comprising PCR fiction publisher Anna Boatman, Constable non-fiction publisher Andreas Campomar and brand publisher Gina Luck, will all report to Bohm. She will report to Little, Brown managing director Charlie King.
Bohm said: “I am delighted to be stepping up to executive publisher at such an exciting and pivotal time for PCR. I feel extremely lucky to have been given the opportunity to lead such a passionate, talented and dedicated team of editors and publishers and I’m looking forward to working together to build on the tremendous growth we’ve seen over the last two years and take PCR from strength to strength.”
King added: “Zoe is a brilliant publisher who has also proved herself as a terrific manager and leader and I am very excited by what she and the Piatkus Constable Robinson team will deliver. PCR has grown to become a £25m business within Little, Brown, which is to the credit of the entire team, from fiction to non-fiction. We are really ambitious for further growth, and I have no doubt the future for PCR is extremely bright under Zoe’s leadership.”
