Katie Bond, formerly Bloomsbury director of trade marketing and publicity, has been appointed publisher at The National Trust.
Bond will take up the new role in late April, reporting to Daniel Dodd, content and communications director. She will be responsible for managing all National Trust publishing, overseeing its trade list via licensee Pavilion Books (formerly Anova), and some 350 guidebooks and other titles under its own imprint.
Dodd said: “We are delighted that Katie is joining us after an award winning career at the heart of one of the most successful publishing houses of the last decade. This appointment shows how ambitious we are for our publishing business. Katie will help us develop it in exciting and creative ways. We never forget that we are a conservation charity standing up for the preservation of beautiful and special places for ever and for everyone and our books can do more to support that purpose.”
Bond said she looked forward to working with the publishing team "to broaden the scope of National Trust books for adults and children and create an exciting new list."
