Bonnier Books UK has appointed Little Tiger's Ella Whiddett as editor, where she will be commissioning for the Hot Key Books and Piccadilly Press imprints.
Whiddett will join in November and report into Emma Matthewson, children's fiction executive publisher.
Whiddett joins from Little Tiger, where she has worked since 2018, having previously interned at David Higham Associates. At Little Tiger she worked across the fiction list, most notably managing Holly Webb’s young fiction publishing, commissioning and developing Honor and Perdita Cargill's Diary of an Accidental Witch middle-grade series, and recently acquiring Little Tiger’s first YA title in translation, the award-winning Danish-language text Kvantespring by Lise Villadsen.
Commenting on the news, Whiddett said: “I’m so pleased to be joining the wonderfully creative team at Bonnier, whose publishing I have long been a fan of. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have the opportunity to work with so many talented authors, and am really looking forward to helping shape such a trailblazing list.”
Matthewson added: “We are very happy to have Ella joining us, and look forward to Ella’s abundant energy and creativity contributing to the publishing at Hot Key Books and Piccadilly Press.’’
