Bonnier Books UK has announced promotions for Ciara Lloyd, Beth Eynon and Madiya Altaf in its non-fiction team.
Lloyd, currently senior editor at John Blake Publishing, has been promoted to editorial director, overseeing the publisher of titles including The Real Peaky Blinders by Carl Chinn. Lloyd will continue to report into publisher Matt Phillips.
Phillips said: “As a leader and advocate of the John Blake list, Ciara has demonstrated her publishing talent overseeing the incredible number one bestseller The Real Peaky Blinders by Carl Chinn which has sold more than a quarter of a million copies so far, as well as acquiring many exciting new projects. Throughout, Ciara‚Äôs calmness, leadership and can-do savviness have been at the fore.”
Lloyd added: “I‚Äôm really proud to work with such a creative and dynamic non-fiction team at John Blake. We‚Äôve gone from strength to strength recently, and have some great plans for the future, so to say I‚Äôm excited to take up this opportunity would be an understatement."
Eynon, currently editor at Blink Publishing, has been promoted to senior editor and will continue to report into Phillips.
Phillips said: “Beth is universally loved for her dedication and publishing smarts. In her time with Bonnier Books UK, Beth has shown herself to be a rising star of the industry not only as editor of the Sunday Times bestseller My Thoughts Exactly, by Lily Allen, but also the top ten bestseller Ask Me His Name, by Elle Wright.”
Eynon added: “I‚Äôm very excited to take up this opportunity as senior editor with the non-fiction team. With our recent successes across fiction and non-fiction, I can‚Äôt wait to grow even more with my fantastic colleagues at Bonnier Books UK.”
Madiya Altaf, currently editorial assistant for Blink, has been promoted to assistant editor. Altaf will continue to report into Susannah Otter, editorial director.
Altaf said:“I‚Äôve had a brilliant three years with the Blink team and I‚Äôm really looking forward to continue working with our incredible authors and the opportunity to grow in this fantastic new role.”
