The Book Marketing Society Award winners for Q2 April to June 2024 were announced at a meeting last night (Wednesday 21st August).
Almost 60 campaigns were submitted for consideration in seven categories across Children’s and Adult publishing houses with honours split evenly across the industry. HarperFiction won the Adult Fiction Award for When the Moon Hatched.
Vintage won the Adult Non-Fiction category with their "shrewd" campaign for Rory Stewart’s Politics on the Edge paperback.
Amazon Publishing saw a Multi-title category win with their first BMS submission for their "Amazon TikTok House" event (at which six authors were guided through the management and growth of their own TikTok accounts) where the judges commended "an innovative, author-centered campaign focused on author development". The Children’s category was won by Francis Lincoln Children’s for their "dynamic, creative and extensive campaign" for Little People, Big Dreams: Taylor Swift, while Farshore’s team won the Young Adult category for their impressive campaign for The Reappearance of Rachel Price.
Spotlight Winners included Transworld for their campaign for Abroad in Japan and Angry Robot for their "no-stone-left-unturned approach" for Evocation. 4th Estate were recognised for their open markets edition campaign for Blue Sisters.
