Book People has moved its headquarters from Catteshall Manor on the fringes of Godalming in Surrey to a "spacious" new property in the area to aid its "ambitious plans for the future".
After 19 years at Catteshall Manor, Book People moved into its new office earlier this month, saying its team had "outgrown" the historic site and needed an office with more modern facilities.
The re-developed new head office, at Salisbury House in Godalming, features "imaginative but functional" décor including tree-shaped book shelves, feature walls, meeting rooms styled on literary characters, and library space to hold Book People’s product range.
Simon Mason, chief operating officer at Book People, said: “We wanted to create a vibrant and imaginative workplace where people can enjoy working. We had outgrown Catteshall Manor, but wanted to remain in Godalming, not only because it is the home of Book People, but because it is convenient for our loyal and hard-working staff.
"As well as offering the additional floor space required to accommodate our growing team, our new headquarters in Weyside Park has been fully converted with us in mind. It is the ideal space for Book People to begin the next chapter of its 28-year story, and we feel confident that it will suit our needs for the foreseeable future”.
Book People's new address is Book People Limited, Salisbury House, Weyside Park, Catteshall Lane, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 1XE. All email addresses remain the same; its order line is 0345 602 4040 and customer services line 0345 602 3030.
