Irish author Patricia Gibney has sold more than two million copies of her books according to Bookouture, which published her debut The Missing Ones in 2017.
In total the London-based digital publisher has since published 10 titles in Gibney’s Detective Lottie Parker series in e-book, print on demand and audiobook, nine of which were listed as Kindle UK top 20 bestsellers.
Trade paperback editions are published by Sphere UK and Hachette Ireland, with the most recent paperback, Buried Angels published in 2020.
Gibney said: “I am thrilled to have reached this milestone with my Detective Lottie Parker series. I’m incredibly grateful to every one of the readers who have read my books. Bookouture took a chance on me with my debut novel, The Missing Ones, and we haven’t looked back.”
She expressed special thanks to her editor Lydia Vassar-Smith, the team at Bookouture and Sphere, her agent Ger Nichol of the Book Bureau and her friends and family, adding: “Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this successful milestone and I hope to bring you many more mysteries for Lottie and Co to solve.”

Foreign translations of Gibney’s works have sold to Spain, Italy, Norway, France, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Taiwan and China, and audio to Sweden. The most recent translation of her work is in German.
