The Bookseller is this month launching a podcast to run alongside The British Book Awards.
Hosted by Cathy Rentzenbrink, the author of The Last Act of Love (Picador), the first podcast will feature Sarah Perry, who won Book of the Year at the 2017 Nibbies. On the podcast, Perry discusses her latest novel Melmoth (Serpent’s Tail).
The podcast will also run a regular slot called ‘Book Doctors’, where independent booksellers will recommend books to readers.
Nigel Roby, chief executive of The Bookseller, said: "The podcast approach reflects the enthusiasm that we have for talking about books and the unique knowledge The Bookseller has for what’s coming out, what’s selling and what’s being reviewed—through our new Books in the Media service. With the podcast, we can chat at length to some of the writers who are Nibbies winners or who feature in the magazine. And we can showcase the amazing knowledge of indie bookshops, bringing books to readers’ attention that they might otherwise have missed."
The first episode of The Bookseller Podcast will launch on 18th December. Listeners can access the audio through thebookseller.com.
