BooksForTopics has relaunched its website which features children’s booklists sorted by age or topic.
The BooksForTopics website is popular among primary schools, providing booklists covering the National Curriculum and reading-for-pleasure recommendations — with everything from diverse and inclusive reading lists and books for reluctant readers to key curriculum topics and year group reading lists.
The relaunch of the site sees the introduction of a “fresh new design” which the company said will help users will find easier to navigate in order to find relevant books and booklists. Popular favourites can still be found on the new website, like the curriculum topic booklists, year group recommended read lists and diversity booklists. The new site can be viewed here: www.booksfortopics.com.
New features include increased detail for every book featured, including review panel comments, purchase links and related resources for schools and a member area in which users can save favourite books and booklists. Users will also be able to create and organise personalised booklists relevant to their interests with a special section dedicated to newly published books and upcoming releases.
Alison Leach, director, said: “The BooksForTopics website is used by schools up and down the country and I am delighted to share the relaunch of our site. The project has been a labour of love and has also felt like a sizeable challenge at times, with thousands of books listed. We’ve worked on a redesign of the whole website to create a fresher style, better-connected navigation and improved user experience for our valued visitors. We are looking forward to seeing the impact the new site will have on pupils’ reading opportunities over the coming months.”
