Brianna Labuskes' Her Final Words (Thomas & Mercer) has ended the three-week run of Ian Rankin's In a House of Lies (Orion) at the top of the Bookstat chart, as Kindle Unlimited titles flock into the top 10. For the week ending 1st August, the chart had nine new entries, with only Val McDermid's A Place of Execution (HarperCollins) holding on from the week before.
Labuskes' Thomas & Mercer stablemates Debra Webb's Trust No One, T P Fielden's Stealing the Crown and Danielle Girard's White Out also zipped into the top 10, with fellow Amazon Publishing titles Barbara Davis' The Last of the Moon Girls, Louise Guy's Rival Sisters and Aimie K Runyan's Across the Winding River (all Lake Union) also debuting. It's likely the sky-high sales of last week's bestsellers was due to a rise in Kindle Unlimited subscribers, as the much-delayed holiday season finally begins in the UK.
