Ian Rankin's In a House of Lies (Orion) has spent a third week running as the Bookstat e-book number one. The Detective John Rebus title, currently priced at 99p in e-book, has been immovable from the top spot since early July.
Rankin's fellow crime veteran Val McDermid rose to second place with A Place of Execution (HarperCollins), displacing long-running lockdown favourite Beth O'Leary's The Flatshare (Quercus) to third.
Afua Hirsch's Brit(ish) (Vintage) made its debut in the Bookstat chart in fourth place, the highest new entry and the sole non-fiction title in the top 10.
