J D Kirk’s Ahead of the Game (Zertex Crime) headed straight into the Bookstat e-book chart number one for the week ending 13th February. The DCI Jack Logan title, in which a body is found at Scottish landmark the Well of Seven Heads, debuted at the top, closely followed by fellow new entry Louise Candlish’s psychological thriller, The Other Passenger (S&S), which hit second place.
Regular perusers of the Bookstat chart will recognise Claire McGowan’s The Other Wife (Thomas & Mercer), which spent many weeks in the Bookstat number one slot during Lockdown 1.0 last spring, and has now returned in third place.
Hachette has stated that Where the Crawdads Sing sold 7,035 digital units; A Time for Mercy 11,365; and Romancing Mr Bridgerton 7,934.
