Claire McGowan’s The Other Wife (Thomas & Mercer) has boomeranged back into the Bookstat e-book chart top spot. The psychological thriller enojoyed an 11-week run across the Bookstat charts during Lockdown 1.0, hitting the top spot three times in April 2020. Clearly, the book’s isolated setting appeals to quarantined Brits, as The Other Wife has roared back into the top spot for the week ending 20th February.
Jojo Moyes’ Night Music (Hodder), originally published in 2009, has recently experienced a resurgence in the Mass Market Fiction charts through Nielsen BookScan’s Total Consumer Market, in paperback format—and now its e-book edition, recently dropped in price to 99p, is seeing a similar boost, rising to second place in the Bookstat chart.
Remember the brief banana bread lockdown trend of 2020? Baking seems to be on the rise as people stay at home. Mary Berry’s Simple Comforts (BBC Digital) charted 10th, in a rare appearance for a cookbook in the digital charts.
Hachette has stated that Night Music sold 12,840 units.
