Bookstat chart: Quinn's Regency tales roll on

Julia Quinn’s The Viscount Who Loved Me (Avon) kept its kid leather-gloved grip on the Bookstat e-book number one spot this week, as its Netflix adaptation was renewed for a second series. E-bookbuyers seem to be tearing through the Regency-era romance series quicker than the producers can keep up—three Bridgerton titles hit the top 10 covering the week ending 23rd January, with first title The Duke and I in second place and the third, An Offer from a Gentleman, in 10th.

Jo Nesbo’s The Kingdom (Vintage) rose in third place, as Alex Smith’s Paper Girls (Relentless) debuted in fourth place. Self-published L J Ross returned to the chart with The Rock.
