Ian Rankin’s In a House of Lies (Orion) hit the roof of the Bookstat e-book chart, flying straight into the number one for the week ending 11th July. The crime title’s Kindle edition was priced at 99p, as were its Hachette stablemates Jodi Picoult’s 2014-published Leaving Time (Hodder & Stoughton) and Beth O’Leary’s The Flatshare (Quercus), both of which joined it in the Bookstat top five.
Peter James’ Find Them Dead (Macmillan), which in hardback soared into the Original Fiction number one last week, charted fourth in e-book. Altogether, eight new entries hit the top 10, with Mike Gayle's Half the World Away (Hodder & Stoughton), Rachel Abbott's The Murder Game (Wildfire) and Jane Fallon's Queen Bee (Penguin) among them.
