Bookstat chart: Rooney doubles up

Sally Rooney has done the double as Beautiful World, Where Are You (Faber) searched out the Bookstat e-book number one, the same week it debuted atop the Nielsen BookScan print chart. 

Rooney’s Normal People debuted in the Bookstat chart in early May 2020, just as the BBC Three adaptation was attracting record streams.  

Victoria Hislop’s One August Night (Headline) bounced into second place, as its Kindle edition was reduced in price to 99p. E-book queen Beth O’Leary returned to the Bookstat chart, with her third title, The Road Trip (Quercus), motoring into fourth place. 

Clarification: Hachette has stated that One August Night sold 15,087 copies; The Road Trip 7,259; Dark Sacred Night 7,445; The Last Letter from Your Lover 7,195; and Forgotten in Death 4,501.
