Bradford Literature Festival has today announced a new partnership with Network Rail, coinciding with the event’s 10th anniversary.
The festival, which starts on 28th June and runs until 7th July, will be promoted on billboards across nine UK railway stations.
The stations, which include five London stations, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street and Leeds, will feature posters and “prominent festival branding”.
This year’s Bradford Literature Festival will deliver 500 events across 10 days, with speakers including comedians Ruby Wax and Sara Pascoe, writer and broadcaster Lemn Sissay, actor Miriam Margoyles and historian Mary Beard.
Peter Hendy, chairman of Network Rail, said: “By bringing the festival’s branding to major national train stations, we aim to celebrate this milestone and encourage more people to engage with literature and culture.”
Syima Aslam, artistic director of Bradford Literature Festival, said: “[This is] a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness and invite more people to join us in Bradford this month. We are hugely indebted to Network Rail for recognising the importance of our diverse festival and helping us to spread the word.”
The Bradford Literature Festival is now in its 10th year. Tickets start at £5 and can be purchased at www.bradfordlitfest.co.uk.
