HQ has strengthened its marketing team, taking on Jennifer Breslin and Joanna Kite.
Breslin will join the HarperCollins imprint’s marketing team as campaign manager, joining from Hachette where she was senior marketing executive. She is replacing Jennifer Porter, who moved to Penguin Random House as senior marketing manager earlier this month. Breslin initially worked at Hachette Children’s and later at Orion, running campaigns for high-profile brand authors, debut fiction and commercial non-fiction. She will report to HQ’s head of marketing Claire Brett. Both start on 7th January.
Joanna Kite, senior marketing manager at fellow HarperCollins imprint Harlequin, will return from maternity leave and also join HQ in January, whilst also working across Mills & Boon division. Kite joined Harlequin in 2012, prior to its acquisition by HarperCollins. She worked in the Mills & Boon team across its e-commerce website and direct mail book club, delivering award-winning digital campaigns. She will report to divisional marketing director Joanna Rose.
Rose said of the appointments: "Both Jen and Jo bring fantastic skills to the HQ marketing team. Jen has worked on some outstanding campaigns, and displays huge creativity and understanding of audience in her work. We have a fantastic list here at HQ, and I can’t wait to see Jen bring her creative flair and commercial thinking to our brilliant books.
“Jo has excellent digital marketing credentials and experience, and in her new role will work across the HQ and HQ Digital lists helping us to give e-books and audio a real focus.”
