David Breuer has joined Unicorn Publishing Group (UPG) as managing director.
Breuer was previously chief creative officer and director of co-edition publishing for the Quarto Group and chief executive of Royal Academy Enterprises. He has 40 years’ experience in the museum and publishing industries.
Unicorn chairman Lord Strathcarron said: “We are absolutely delighted David has decided to join us as managing director. He brings a wealth of talent and experience to Unicorn which will be of enormous benefit to us and all our publishing partners.”
Breuer added: “The Unicorn Group has great potential for growth and I am delighted and excited to join them to help them achieve that.”
UPG was founded by a small team of professional publishers who came together from various major publishing houses. The company now has four imprints: Unicorn, for visual arts and cultural history; Uniform, specialising in military history; Universe, a historical fiction imprint; and Unify, which publishes health and philosophy titles.
