The Bright Agency launches literary list
Children’s literary agency The Bright Agency is launching a literary list, led by director Arabella Stein.
Stein will look for all types of fiction, including picture book texts, middle-grade and YA and will launch the list at next week’s Bologna Children’s Book Fair with a selection of featured authors, including Chloe Leland, Aaron Blecha and Hannah Peck.
“I am delighted to be heading up this brilliant literary list – it is a truly exciting and inspiring market to be working so closely within,” she said. “I hope to champion writing with a distinct voice, that engages and entertains young readers.”
Stein will continue to manage her portfolio of picture book artists, including Benji Davies, Yasmeen Ismail, Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet, with the help of associate agent Freddie Dawson.
The Bright Agency hired Stein in 2016 as a senior agent. She was previously a director at the Abner Stein Literary Agency and has worked at Pan Macmillan, Fourth Estate and Bloomsbury.
