B&T, Bookmasters and POD Worldwide form partnership

A new international partnership between Baker & Taylor (B&T), Bookmasters and Printondemand Worldwide will expand B&T's print facilities in the US and UK.

Baker & Taylor's director of publisher services Liz Scarpelli described the new partnership as "a major expansion to the Digital Print Solutions offerings at B&T."

The inclusion of Cambridgeshire-based POD Worldwide in the Baker & Taylor printer network will allow Digital Print Solutions publishers to print in the UK, while POD Worldwide publishers can print in the US via Ohio-based Bookmasters.

POD Worldwide m.d. Andy Cork said: "This partnership will provide our publisher clients with the opportunity to generate sales, for the titles they hold with us, throughout B&T’s global retail network and to fulfil drop ship orders direct in the USA. It is a significant addition to our own retail sales channels and POD operations here in the UK. "

Ken Fultz, general manager of Bookmasters, noted that Bookmasters and POD Worldwide have "a very similar business acumen" with the two companies having "built up a sound relationship over the past two years."
