Burke appointed as non-executive director at W H Smith
Colette Burke has been appointed as a non-executive director at W H Smith PLC starting from 1st July 2023, as the company expands its US operation.
Burke is currently the executive vice-president and chief commercial officer of the LEGO Group, and was previously global head of sales and marketing at Bose Corporation.
In a statement, W H Smith chair Annette Court said: "We are delighted to welcome Colette on to the board of W H Smith. Colette’s retail and US experience will be particularly valuable as we continue to drive the company forward and capitalise on the significant opportunities that exist in North America."
Burke added: "W H Smith is on an exciting growth journey to become the leading retailer within the global travel sector. It has an exceptionally fast-growing business in North America and I look forward to joining the board and working with the wider W H Smith team to seize the many opportunities that lie ahead."
