Canongate is to publish A Long Stride by Nicholas Morgan, a history of Johnnie Walker whisky.
Editorial director Simon Thorogood acquired world rights and the title will be published on 29th October 2020, to mark the 200th anniversary of the brand.
The book will trace the history of Johnnie Walker whisky back to 1820, exploring who John walker was and how his business grew from a small grocery shop in Kilmarnock, Scotland, to the global brand it is today.
Morgan is the head of whisky outreach at Diago, the parent company of Johnnie Walker.
Thorogood said: "I’m delighted that we are partnering with Diageo and the Johnnie Walker team for this project, and to help them mark their landmark anniversary. It’s going to be a very special book."
