Jonathan Cape desk editor Ana Fletcher has been promoted to senior editor.
She will continue to be managed by Cape’s publishing director Michal Shavit.
Fletcher joined the Vintage division in February 2016 and has since worked with authors such as Julian Barnes, Ross Raisin, Anthony Quinn, Jeanette Winterson, Rachel Kushner and Daisy Johnson.
She previously worked for independent publisher And Other Stories while living in Rio de Janeiro, and with International PEN, as well as on a number of freelance editing and translating projects.
Fletcher told The Bookseller she was "incredibly pleased" with the promotion. She said: "Vintage is a brilliant place to work, I’m grateful for the vote of confidence from my colleagues, and I’m excited about the opportunity to acquire new titles for the Cape list."
Clare Bullock, previously Jonathan Cape assistant editor, has joined Ebury this month.
