Catherine Cho will join the Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency as an additional agent in the adult fiction and non-fiction department later this month, working alongside Maddie and Giles Milburn and Hayley Steed.
Cho, who started her publishing career at Folio Literary Management in New York before a three year stint at Curtis Brown where she was promoted from Jonny Geller's assistant to associate agent, will also oversee the agency’s digital rights strategy.
Giles Milburn said: "The Agency is going through an exciting period of growth, but all of our team remain committed to the Agency’s original vision: books that cater for the tastes of readers around the world without being afraid to challenge them too, tenacious deal-making, and outstanding author care. Catherine has proven herself to excel in all these areas, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome her to the fold."
Cho added: "I feel very fortunate to have been at Curtis Brown, I've learned so much from Jonny Geller, from my colleagues and from the stellar list of clients I was fortunate to work with. I'm equally thrilled by the opportunity to join the Madeleine Milburn Agency. I've long admired Madeleine's dynamic list, and I've been so impressed by everything she and her team have accomplished. I'm incredibly happy to join the team and to build a list of brilliant new talent in both fiction and non-fiction."
Cho will start on 22nd October, and is considering submissions in both fiction and non-fiction. To submit please address the material to Catherine Cho, and send to submissions@madeleinemilburn.com.
Cho's own account of postpartum psychosis was recently acquired by Bloomsbury.
