Century Books has treated influencers and fans of James Patterson’s Alex Cross series to an exclusive immersive theatrical event at a decommissioned prison.
Marking the 30th book in the series, Triple Cross, a select group was invited to Shrewsbury Prison in Shropshire for the performance last week.
Those brave enough to take part were met at Shrewsbury station and escorted on to the prison premises to experience scenes from the book and meet characters including Alex Cross and Thomas Tull.
They also received an early copy of Triple Cross and were treated to an early recorded reading from James Patterson.
Attendees included influencers such as Laureen Gallagher, Chantelle Anderson and Ellen Hillian.
A spokesperson for Century said: “One attendee said the experience was ‘incredible’ and another said it was ‘a privilege to be there’ – influencer Laureen even went ghost-hunting in the early hours of the morning.”
