Chronicle Books has signed a multi-territory deal to publish books based on the Lego Group’s toys, bricks and mini-figures.
The partnership will launch in spring 2020 when Chronicle will publish seven new Lego titles, including gift books, puzzles and journals, in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, China, Japan and Korea.
Future publishing will include humour titles and a behind-the-scenes book called The Art of the Lego Minifigure.
"We are thrilled to work with Lego, an internationally beloved brand that shares our values of quality, creativity, and play," said Sarah Malarkey, executive editorial director of Chronicle Books. "Both companies have generations of fans and a real affinity for one another. Together, we will make a publishing program that helps people express and share their Lego love in many different formats. We can’t wait to start creating together."
