Comma Press has hired Isabelle Kenyon to the role of Northern Fiction Alliance (NFA) coordinator and course and writers’ days co-ordinator.
As NFA co-ordinator, Kenyon will oversee the delivery of support provisions to publishers in the north with a focus on developing a strategy for the combined growth of the sector. This will include arranging mentorships, quarterly publishing seminars, virtual book fairs and rights pitching sessions.
Kenyon said: "I am thrilled to be joining Comma Press in these roles and I am particularly excited about the opportunity to work with regional publishers and help them grow and succeed.
"I believe that by working together, northern publishers can achieve great things."
While at Comma Press, Kenyon will retain her current role as managing director at Fly on the Wall Press.
She added: “I believe that by working with both organisations, I can make a real impact in the publishing industry and help to promote and support the work of talented writers and publishers."
