Police are concerned for the welfare of Helen Bailey, the author behind the Electra Brown series (Hodder Children’s Books), who has been missing for a week, according to news reports.
The Independent reported that Bailey was last seen at home in Royston, Hertfordshire, on 11th April. Police are urging her to make contact to let them know she is safe and have also appealed to the public for help in tracing her.
Bailey was also the author of a blog called Planet Grief, which she set up when her husband drowned on holiday in 2011.
Hachette Children’s Group, which owns Hodder Children's Books, said: "Along with Helen's friends and family we anxiously await the news of her safe return."
Anyone who knows of her whereabouts is asked to call the police using the non-emergency number 101.
