Hannah Corbett joins Thames & Hudson (T&H) as head of publicity and will be working across its lists, with a particular focus on art, popular culture and museum collaborations. She will also manage the publicity team and freelance publicists.
Corbett began her career as a publicist at Random House before taking up the position of communications director at Wallpaper*. This was followed by roles at FMcM book and arts PR agency, Simon & Schuster and John Murray Press.
She has also worked as a freelance publicist on various projects for Abrams, Chronicle Books, Hachette, National Geographic, Bloomsbury’s Fashion Photography Archive and the Penderyn Music Book Prize. Her previous role was head of PR (Pan) at Pan Macmillan.
Corbett has worked across a wide range of campaigns for titles by Hillary Clinton, John Lydon, Philippa Gregory and Bradley Wiggins, as well as David Bailey and Joanna Trollope. She received the PPC Non-Fiction Hardback Campaign of the Year Award for The Secret Barrister (Picador).
She said: “I am delighted to be joining the team at Thames & Hudson, whose high quality and innovative publishing I have long admired. It’s an absolute pleasure to be given the opportunity to work on their books alongside a stellar list of authors from across the arts.”
Laurence Harvie, marketing and communications director, added: “I’m very pleased to be welcoming a publicist of Hannah’s experience to the business. She has a wealth of media and events management knowledge, and a tremendous track record in delivering hardworking campaigns.
"This is an exciting time to be at T&H; we have seen incredible growth over the past few years, but our sights are set on the future. Hannah is the perfect person to drive ambitious and creative campaigning.”
