Coronet has acquired a fully illustrated book by a team of popular vloggers, The Sidemen, to publish in October.
Editorial director Charlotte Hardman bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Gordon Wise at Curtis Brown and Liam Chivers at OP Talent.
The Sidemen, who formed as a group in 2013, are "YouTube royalty" according to the publisher, JJ Olatunji (screenname KSI), Harry Lewis (Wroetoshaw), Simon Minter (Miniminter), Vikk Barn (Vikkstar123), Josh Bradley (Zerkaa), Ethan Payne (Behzinga) and Tobi Brown (Tobjizzle). Together they have a total audience of 35m subscribers to their YouTube channels and billions of views for their videos. They also have over 7.5m followers on Twitter.
The Sidemen: The Book is touted as a "fun-filled journey into their world", sharing their individual stories and exploring the YouTube universe, with original content, exclusive photos and the "crazy jokes and pranks that they are known for".
Coronet has embarked on a pre-order campaign, beginning with a lucky dip offering fans the chance to win a range of prizes including money-can’t-buy virtual gaming sessions and chances to meet the boys.
Hardman said: "We’re delighted to welcome The Sidemen to the Coronet list. They have such energy, great humour and an incredible connection and many, many creative and inventive ideas. The size and reach of their audience is mind-blowing and the dedication their fans show is unmatched and we are very excited to be bringing such a brilliant book to them."
The Sidemen: The Book will be published in an £18.99 full colour crown quarto hardback on October 20th 2016.
