Molly Crawford, Judith Long and Mina Asaam have been promoted within the Adult Fiction editorial team at S&S UK. Crawford has been promoted to editorial director, Long to editor and Asaam to assistant editor. Georgina Leighton has also joined the team from Bloomsbury as editor on the Crime and Thriller list.
Crawford has worked on bringing new authors to S&S, including Elena Armas and Hannah Grace, and is publishing new novels by Lauren Bravo and Lucy Vine this spring. She is the editor for Colleen Hoover, publishing It Starts With Us last year and managing the strategy around Hoover’s catalogue of S&S titles.
Acquiring her first book, Alina Khawaja’s Maya’s Laws of Love, Asaam has recently taken on more editorial responsibility. She is also publishing Temi Oh’s new book More Perfect and has been working alongside the team on titles such as Drowning by T J Newman, In the Blink of an Eye by Jo Callaghan as well as Small Joys by Elvin James Mensah on the Scribner list.

Meanwhile in Adult Non-fiction, Sophia Akhtar has been promoted to assistant editor, reporting to editorial director Assallah Tahir. Akhtar joined the department in October 2020 as editorial assistant and has been working with authors ranging from Alice Roberts and Simon Barnes to Leslie Thomas KC and David Grann.
