Simon & Schuster has promoted Molly Crawford to senior commissioning editor from her previous role as commissioning editor on the adult fiction editorial team.
Crawford joined S&S in January 2021. Among her achievements are bringing Lucy Vine to the list, pre-empting the new novel from Lauren Bravo, acquiring Elena Armas and taking her from self-published author to Sunday Times top 10 bestseller with The Spanish Love Deception. She is also the publisher for Colleen Hoover, and has steered first all the backlist publishing and now the frontlist publishing.
Clare Hey, publishing director, fiction, said: “Molly is a commercially savvy and strategic editor with a keen nose for what readers want. She has become an integral part of the team within just 18 months, and I am delighted to recognise her achievements with this promotion.”
Crawford said: “I’ve loved my time so far at S&S; it’s a joy to work at such a forward-thinking and innovative publisher. I’m grateful for the opportunity to progress at such an exciting time for the company and am looking forward to continuing to work with my incredible authors while looking to bring more new voices to the list.”
