C&W has announced a number of new appointments and promotions following what the agency has called “an exceptional year” for its authors, who include Douglas Stuart, Dolly Alderton and Matt Haig.
Kate Burton has been promoted to head of translation rights and will manage a team including recently promoted Matilda Ayris and newly appointed César Castañeda Gámez.
She said: “I am thrilled to accept this new role as head of translation rights within such a cherished agency as C&W and I look forward to continuing to build the rights business further as part of a truly great team."
Sophie Lambert will join Jake Smith Bosanquet as m.d. of C&W, while Clare Conville will remain chairperson. Sue Armstrong continues as a director. Alice Hoskyns has been appointed to work with Sophie Lambert and Saida Azizova has been appointed to work with Lucy Luck, Emma Finn and Richard Pike.
Lambert said: “Coming at what we all hope to be the tail end of the pandemic, it is wonderful to be able to go into the LBF with such a lot of happy news for our agency. It’s clear to me that we have created an exceptional team. I’m truly honoured to be working alongside Jake to continue to build on our success and most importantly, to discover and nurture the most talented writers. “
