UK publisher D C Thomson has appointed Amy Jarashow as licensing director for North America, where she will be responsible for licensing at both publisher Parragon and gift company Wild and Wolf.
Jarashow will take on current licensing deals with Disney, Discovery Kids, Mattel, Nickelodeon, The World of Eric Carle, Ted Baker, Happy Jackson, Scrabble and Sanrio, as well as look for new licensing acquisitions in North America.
Jarashow said: “The opportunity to represent both Parragon and Wild & Wolf is such an honour. Already home to many of today’s most coveted brands, both companies are heralded for their innovation in design, high quality of manufacturing and above all, professional integrity.”
She joins D C Thomson from brand licensing network IQ License, where she was responsible for more than 40 brands. Before that, she was an associate publisher at Random House Young Reader’s Group.
In her new job she will report to Kim Brown, president of Parragon North America, and Javier Zavala, vice president of Wild and Wolf North America.
