Harriet Egleton has been promoted to head of UK literary and film & TV scouting at Daniela Schlingmann Literary Scouting Ltd.
Egleton will be heading up the company’s UK scouting operations, both for literary translation and film & TV.
She was previously senior scout, and has been with the company for nine years, initially building the non-fiction scouting line of the agency, then expanding the film & TV scouting department, and finally taking on a significant role in setting up the US operations of the agency.
Egleton said: “After spending almost a decade at DSLS and growing alongside the company, I am delighted to be taking this next step in my career to head up the UK scouting operations.
“It has been a wonderful nine years so far learning from and working alongside Daniela, and it’s my privilege to continue to work closely with her and the rest of our brilliant team to develop and expand what and how we deliver to our clients, especially as we near our 20th anniversary.”
Schlingmann added: “Harriet Egleton stands out for her incredible breadth of knowledge, her can-do-attitude, her strategic mind, warm sense of humour as well as her integrity and team spirit. The past nine years of working together have been a great joy, and it has been a pleasure to see Harriet go from strength to strength, always with a focus on delivering excellent service and care to our clients.
“DSLS, as it is today, wouldn’t exist without her. DSLS will celebrate its 20th year in 2025 and I am excited for what the next decade will bring with Harriet at the helm of the UK operations, shaping our future further.”
