DeBlock and Evans promoted at Mushens Entertainment 

Liza DeBlock is stepping up to the role of foreign rights manager and agent at Mushens Entertainment, while Kiya Evans is promoted to senior assistant, open to submissions for the first time. 

DeBlock, previously foreign rights executive, was picked as a Bookseller Rising Star in 2022. She oversaw a year of real rights success and growth for the agency with 141 translation deals taking place. She also grew her own client list securing deals for writers such as Stacey Thomas (sold at auction to HQ) and chef Sally Abé (pre-empted by Fleet) as well as helping Pim Wangtechawat’s début find a home at Netflix with Gemma Chan producing.
