Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing claimed the Publisher E-Book Ranking top spot for the week ending 25th April, after becoming a staple in the chart since it was announced as part of the Richard & Judy Book Club in December.
Dawn O’Porter’s The Cows also trotted up to second, with the author’s So Lucky not far behind, in sixth place.
Peter May’s Lockdown débuted in ninth place. Rather like Dean Koontz’s The Eyes of Darkness, the book buying public—and particularly, the e-book buying public—seem to be unable to resist a title that claims to have predicted the coronavirus.
