A refurbishment of Dublin’s Hodges Figgis bookshop has been completed, with the new layout featuring expanded children’s and Irish book sections.
The store also has a “huge selection” of young adult and Manga titles and a comprehensive science fiction and fantasy selection. It also offers a choice of history and political interest books and an increased range of art titles.
The bookshop’s Irish book offering now includes out-of-print and rare books. The rare and antiquarian books department sits alongside an entire floor of remainders.
Customers can also find chairs for browsing the new range of books, as well as a laptop-friendly study space on the second floor. The shop also stocks a range of cards, stationery, games, puzzles and gifts.
“Our booksellers are looking forward to providing a warm welcome back to our existing customers and a hearty hello to many new ones for the reawakening of a much-loved bookshop that has been part of the fabric of Dublin City since 1776,” said bookshop manager Tony Hayes.
