Ebury Edge has revealed ambitious growth plans and the addition of a new commissioning editor, Cameron Myers from Penguin General, with title count boosted 60% this year.
The business and high performance imprint is led by Géraldine Collard, who was promoted to senior commissioning editor in October. Myers is now joining Ebury’s Smart Hub as commissioning editor, joining the team to publish across Edge, Ebury Press and W H Allen.
He moves from Penguin General where he acquired books by communications expert Jefferson Fisher, as well as titles by UK Black Business Week founder Raphael Sofoluke, and George the Poet during his previous stint at Hodder & Stoughton.
Ebury Edge said the growth followed record sales: “Just three years since its creation, Ebury Edge grew its turnover by a factor of 18 in 2023, powered by breakout bestsellers The Diary of a CEO by Steven Bartlett — with rights deals in 40 territories – and Be Useful by Arnold Schwarzenegger.” Meanwhile, half of Ebury Edge’s books published in 2023 appeared on the Sunday Times bestseller charts.
The division said title count was growing by 60% for 2024 with upcoming highlights including Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara, to Darius Foroux’s The Stoic Path to Wealth.
Collard said: “I’m proud of the milestones we have hit with Edge – we’re finding authors who truly resonate with readers’ needs. From Claer Barrett’s timeless money explainer to Noah Kagan and his energizing business how-to, we offer real solutions to readers who want to live and work better. I can’t wait for Cameron to add more commissioning towards this brilliant mission.”
Myers added: “I’m immensely excited to join Géraldine and the rest of the Smart hub team at Ebury. I’ve long watched from afar with admiration and envy at the quality of the list. And I’m looking forward to getting stuck into my new role commissioning widely across smart narrative non-fiction.”
