Egmont promotes three to the board

Egmont UK is promoting Sarah Bates, Ingrid Gilmore and Siobhan Galvin to its board, following the depature of chief financial officer Alan Hurcombe to Hodder Education.

Head of finance business support, Anna Buss, will be promoted to the new role of finance director on the UK board following Hurcombe's move to Hodder Education as its c.o.o. Formerly Scholastic UK group m.d., he joined Egmont in 2013.

Bates, commercial director of books, Gilmore, sales, marketing and PR director for books and Siobhan Galvin, commercial director for magazines, will all report to m.d. Cally Poplak. 

The new positions take effect from 1st January 2018.
