Elisa Offord, marketing and publicity director at Simon & Schuster (S&S) Children’s, is leaving the company to go freelance after 12 years in the role.
Children’s m.d. Alexandra Maramenides said: “During her twelve years at S&S Elisa has made a huge contribution to the children’s division. Elisa started in the Simon & Schuster ‘Africa House’ days, when the UK-originated list was launched, and she put the marketing and publicity department foundations in place. Since then she has built on the impressive activity, partnerships and the award-winning marketing and publicity team.
“Elisa’s passion for our books, enthusiasm for our list and expertise will be missed enormously.”
Offord worked with various authors and brands in her time at the publisher, including The Dork Diaries series by Rachel Renee Russell, Aliens Love Underpants by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort and The Storm Whale by Benji Davies.
Offord will leave the company in a few months' time. S&S is advertising for a replacement.
