Europa Editions has snapped up the latest collection of short stories by American writer Deborah Eisenberg.
Your Duck Is My Duck marks newly appointed editorial director Christopher Potter’s first acquisition for the company. Potter acquired UK rights from Cullen Stanley at Cullen Stanley International, acting on behalf of Lynn Nesbit at Janklow Nesbit.
He said: “I can’t quite believe my luck that the first writer I am bringing to Europa Editions should be Deborah Eisenberg, in America quite rightly regarded as one of the finest writers of fiction at work today. I’m beyond thrilled that we will have the opportunity to introduce her latest book - her first for over twelve years - to a British audience. She really should be much better known here.”
“By turns dark and hilarious, at times solemn and mysterious, Your Duck is My Duck cements Deborah Eisenberg’s reputation as one of America’s greatest living writers of fiction,” said the publisher.
Six stories make up the collection, Eisenberg’s first for 12 years, which will be published on 16th August 2019.
