Eve White Literary Agency (EWLA) has promoted Steven Evans to the role of agent and company manager. Evans has already signed a handful of clients at the independent agency and will continue to grow his list across fiction, non-fiction and children’s fiction.
Evans first joined the company in 2021 as intern, and became agency assistant later that year. He previously lived in France, where he worked as a freelance proofreader, translator and reader for various scouting agencies.
His upcoming projects include The Rinkoff Family Cookbook: Secrets and Recipes from East London’s Oldest Jewish Bakery by Jennifer Rinkoff and a currently untitled debut YA novel by Suad Kamardeen. He will also lead the administrative responsibilities of the business.
Emmanuel Boakye is also joining EWLA on 19th November as new agency assistant to support Eve White, Evans, and managing director Ludo Cinelli.
White said: "Steven is clever, creative and caring and is shaping up to be a brilliant agent. This is a well-earned promotion. I am very pleased to have Emmanuel join our happy, hard-working team."
Evans said: "I am delighted to be stepping into this new role of agent and company manager. Upon joining the agency three years ago, I could not have wished for a better introduction to the business of agenting than working closely alongside Eve and Ludo. They have been an invaluable source of support and knowledge, and I am excited to continue building our wonderful list of clients, contributing to the company’s successes and welcoming Emmanuel as the newest member of our team."
