Izzy Everington is moving from Hodder Studio to join Hodder Non-Fiction as commissioning editor.
She will join on 1st February, working closely with senior commissioning editor Anna Baty, who will soon be on parental leave, as part of the imprint’s new commissioning strand launched by publisher Kirty Topiwala in the hope of expanding the range of the non-fiction list.
Currently editor on the Hodder Studio list, Everington has published The Hydrogen Revolution by Marco Alverà, Hip-Hop (And Other Things) by Shea Serrano, The Consolation of Nature and the WTF is… series from Kit Eaton, illustrated by Joanna Wendell.
Rupert Lancaster, acting head of Hodder Non-Fiction, said the team had “grown exponentially over the past three years and we’re delighted to welcome Izzy to the team”. He added: “Her scientific knowledge and smart, creative commissioning will further strengthen an already flourishing area of the list. Our recent success with the bestselling Vaxxers by Sarah Gilbert and Catherine Green (which Anna Baty commissioned) demonstrates there is an appetite for serious but accessible books in this and other areas.”
