Simon & Schuster UK will publish former presidential aide Omarosa Manigault Newman’s “jaw-dropping” exposé of the White House under Donald Trump, along with Gallery Books in the US.
Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House is billed as a “stunning tell-all and takedown from a strong, intelligent woman who took every name and number” and “must-read for any concerned citizen”.
Iain MacGregor, publishing director for non-fiction at S&S bought UK and Commonwealth rights excluding Canada from Paul O’Halloran at Gallery. The book will be published on August 14th by S&S UK and in America by S&S US imprint Gallery Books.
Manigault Newman was a Trump ally who joined the Trump administration in January 2017 as a White House communications director, before leaving a year later. She also starred in the US version of "The Apprentice".
“Few have been a member of Donald Trump’s inner orbit longer than Omarosa Manigault-Newman,” an S&S UK spokesperson said. “Their relationship has spanned 15 years through four television shows, a presidential campaign, and a year by his side in the most chaotic, outrageous White House in history. But that relationship has come to a decisive and definitive end, and Omarosa is finally ready to share her side of the story in this explosive, jaw-dropping account.”
