Jane Beagley has been appointed production manager at independent publisher Vertebrate Publishing in a new role.
The role has been created to manage the press' greatly expanded schedule after a “stellar” year. The publisher says it has seen 50% growth in the year to date.
Beagley’s brings with her the experience of a long career in design and publishing, with more than 20 years in creative design and print.
The role comes at an exciting time for Vertebrate, as it looks to add more titles to its schedule and advance plans for international distribution. Beagley will be managing a team of seven editors, book designers and a large network of freelance support staff.
Joe Barton, managing director, said Beagley was a "standout candidate" and would bring "continued publishing insight to the department", as well as help free up senior managers to concentrate on future growth.
